The original High-Torque is where it all started with Sky-Tec. Newly improved with internal, self-resetting Kickback Protection System! The HT-Series is now stronger and even more durable thanks to improved strontium fortified aluminum alloy and beefed-up mount castings, 2X steel ball bearing races, and No Bendix - Electromechanical Solenoid. Also available in 24V Super Duty, Extended Cranking ( /EC models ). Perfect for helicopter, bush plane and workhorse operations requiring a rugged design, maximum reliability & service life.
Still one of the lightest Lycoming starters available at only 8.5 lbs. designed to spin the propeller twice as fast as most Heavyweight OEM starters, also has a High Efficiency Wound Field Motors and built-in starter solenoid for experimental aircraft applications (12V model only). Zero maintenance - no pins to replace in the event of a kickback. FAA-PMA approved for most Lycoming engines. Also available specifically configured to directly replace costly B&C starters on Robinson helicopters. Some airframe applications may require minor modification for best fit. Confirm aircraft fit, ring gear tooth count and voltage before ordering; comes with a standard 2-Year factory warranty.
